Where it began
Colour was always the first language.
RANGREZ takes its name from the old craft of the dyer — the one who gives colour to plain cloth. We do the same with footwear. A blank pair of shoes arrives, and it leaves carrying someone’s handwriting, a wedding date, a favourite flower, a city skyline, a colour from a childhood room.
Nothing here is printed or automated. Brushes are held, thread is pulled, beads are placed. Slowness is part of the design, because a personal object should feel like it was made by a person.
